Rene Marie Russo was an American film director, actor as well as a supermodel. Rene Marie Russo, born in the United States, is an actor, director and ex-supermodel. Dana White, who was paying close attention to her at the time, signed her into the UFC strawweight division to fight in December 2014. She was just turning 22. Throughout Rose her career, she's gone through periods of both the highs and lows with each time coming out on top. Rose fought Carla Esparza to win the Women s Strawweight Championship in The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. Rose won with a technical knockout in just three minutes of Round One. Rose was also given the title of Fighter Of The Night and was a pioneer in the sport as it marked the first time a women was ever a participant on a level of championships within a major promotion organisation worldwide. Namajunas had a number of wins following the fight, and she was awarded Performance Of The Night by UFC after her wins over Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
